Home Learning at Blackness Primary

Welcome to our Home Learning area!

This section has been created to provide families with additional opportunities to support learning at home. It complements the homework and learning activities shared by your child’s teacher through Seesaw. You will find Home Learning Grids for each year group, with a range of activities across Literacy, Numeracy and Health & Wellbeing. These can be used as additional homework activities, for extra practice, or simply as ideas for learning together at home. The grids can also be particularly useful if your child is off school but feeling well enough to take part in some learning at home. There is no expectation that children complete work while they are unwell — rest and recovery always come first.

Understanding Our Curriculum

We have also included information about the curriculum at Blackness Primary, including resources from our annual Curriculum Information Evenings. You can find presentations and helpful information for Early Level, First Level and Second Level, giving families an insight into what and how your child is learning at school and how you can support them at home.

We hope this area provides families with helpful, accessible and flexible ways to support learning beyond the classroom.
